Don't Quit!!

When I was a little girl I had this poem hung in my room, as young lady, I had it hung in my apartment, and now as a woman, I have this same poem in my spare bathroom of my house. This particular poem is one of my favorites and was a bit of a mantra I used to say to myself growing up. "Quitting" at anything was never an option for me, nor is it part of my nature. I credit my dad for instilling that lesson (along with the unquestionable belief that I CAN and WILL do anything I set myself to). Thanks Dad!! I love you!


Don't Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest, if you must, but DON'T. YOU. QUIT!

Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit—
It's when things seem worst that you MUST. NOT. QUIT!!
